Jamelia - Get the Look
Reigning queen of UK R&B Jamelia has had a lot to smile about lately - and who could blame her for looking so smug? The beautiful Brummie has released a greatest hits album, graced the catwalk at London Fashion Week, presented the MOBO awards and has even found the time to get engaged to her footie player boyfriend, Darren Byfield.
Jamelia exploded onto the music scene in 2000 with her breakthrough hit, Money, and has spawned a whole load of Top 10 smashes since - from the super-catchy karaoke classic Superstar to the Chris Martin-penned See It In a Boy's Eyes.
The soon-to-be footballer's wife is also a tireless charity worker, having fronted several noble campaigns. Outspoken, with just a touch of foot-in-mouth syndrome, Jamelia's not afraid to speak her mind - with the likes of Javine and Nicole Richie (deservedly?) falling victim to her classic putdowns.
From her forays into the world of fashion - she recently strutted her stuff at Naomi Campbell's Fashion for Relief show, and is a spokesmodel for several high profile brands - Jamelia has developed a refined sense of style and never fails to turn heads on the red carpet.
She favours clingy numbers and is drawn to high-end Italian brands like Dolce & Gabbana and Armani. Always one step ahead of other celebs, Jamelia knows exactly how to make a trend all her own, so we've perused her style files to show you how to rock this season's metallic greys:
The Wasp Waist
Jamelia literally sparkled at this year's MOBOs in a stunning Burberry Prorsum silvery grey number.
Nodding not just to one, but several key autumn/winter trends, our favourite diva teamed the long-sleeved swarovski-encrusted mini with a super flattering, super wide corset belt, cinching in that waist and enhancing those great curves.
This geometric dress with metallic thread detailing has just the right amount of glitz and glitter. Create that desirable wasp waist with a stretch belt and team with a pair of patent courts.
Accessories-wise, Jamelia's Cartier bling would probably cost as much as a flat in Mayfair, so invest in these far more affordable crystal snake earrings and dazzling diamanté bracelet.
The Trench Dress
Even off the red carpet, Jamelia oozes sophistication and classy chic with a metallic grey silk trench.
This belted Oli mac is a dead ringer for Jamelia's. With its clever removable sleeves, it can be worn as a dress, coat or cute bolero.
Trench dresses are big this season, featuring in shows from New York to Milan. Pair with an oversized brown tote, glitter sandals and nothing else...
The Empire Line Mini
Showing off an enviable pair of legs, Jamelia is stunning in her Dolce & Gabbana empire line mini.
This grey chiffon M&S dress is a great alternative. All it needs is a pair of diamanté strappies, buckle trim micro clutch and teardrop necklace. Very empressive...
